I found that one of the most common fashion shopping tips for building a great wardrobe is to grab many foundation pieces and add trendier clothing each season. Take a jersey duster jacket for example, its a lovely piece of clothing and they are everywhere at the moment! you could take this piece of clothing and put it on top of a plain crop top, a pair of simple high waisted black jeans and some flats or to jazz it up a little for a night out match the outfit with a pair of leather block heel platform mules, (thats something i would do) and you'll get a lovely stylish outfit easily change from a day to night outfit! 

I don't know about you but what i do if I'm stuck on how to wear something and what to pair it with i just browse online and find some great ideas. The idea of building your wardrobe with foundation pieces first can be quite tricky knowing exactly what to buy. Of course owning lots of trendy clothing items is great but its all about saving money and sticking to that budget after all those hefty bills are paid for! By putting your fashion pounds toward good quality pieces that never go out of style, you waste less on poorly made clothing that only last a year or two in both style and wear.
