KYLIE LIP KIT |

A few weeks ago, I picked up some of the new Lip Kits from Kylie Jenner's makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics. These have been selling out on the website in record time, and the demand is quite high. I was curious to see if the hype was because these were actually amazing or if it was just because of Kylie's fame. The pictures I had seen on Instagram looked fantastic, so I waited up early one morning and snagged three of them before they sold out again!
The Kylie Lip Kits come in a box emblazoned with Kylie's signature melting lips logo. Each kit includes a liquid lipstick and matching lip liner (both full-sized) and they retail for around £20 each, which I think is a steal for this kind of quality. The liquid lipsticks are packaged in a standard lipgloss container with a twist-off lid and a doe foot applicator. Lip liners have a pop off lid and are not retractable (sadly), so they will need to be sharped regularly. The packaging is super high quality, and reminds me a bit of MAC
packaging (which isn't too terribly surprising since we already know Kylie is a fan of the brand).
The three shades I picked (from top to bottom) are Dolce K, Koko K, and Posie K. As soon as I opened the package, I was so happy with the color choices I made. Each shade is a beautiful neutral tone that works so well for everyday use. Dolce K is a light brown nude, Koko K is a pinky nude, and Posie K is a plum pink. The colors are highly pigmented and look absolutely stunning when applied, plus they last forever without wearing off at all. I actually had a hard time getting Dolce K to come off the first time I wore it, and had to try a few different makeup removers to fully wash it away (pro tip - use an oil-based makeup remover).
That being said, I like that these are not overly drying to the lips. There is a little bit of dryness, but I think that is kind of expected with matte lip products. The lip pencils are incredibly creamy, and work well at not only lining the lips but also filling them in and giving the liquid lipstick something to hold on to, which helps it last so long. Also, I want to mention that each lipstick smells deliciously of vanilla cupcake, but it's not a scent that transfers over to your lips so you don't have to worry about it lingering if it's not your kind of scent.
Overall, I'm super happy with all three of these. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd say it's Posie K. This is just the prettiest nude pink shade that really makes your lips look full and pouty. I'm looking forward to what Kylie comes out with next. I've heard rumor that she's planning on contour powders and face products next, as well as more shades for her Lip Kits.

Have you tried out any of the Kylie Lip Kits yet?
